Phils Offense Springs to Life in Worley’s First Win as a Starter

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Recap | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Mets were bad. Worley was good. The recently struggling offense you ask? Well, I am glad to see that you are still interested. They managed ten hits and ten runs and generally pounded the living shit of Mets pitching.

Phil-Literature: “Harry the K”

AUTHOR: | IN: phil-literature | COMMENTS: None Yet

Harry the K: The Remarkable Life of Harry Kalas by Randy Miller Running Press Sure, it would have been way more timely to run this back on the anniversary of Harry’s death.  Just like it would have made way more sense to review Chris Coste’s book when he was miraculously newsworthy again a few weeks back for being hired by CSN.  But we don’t do things that way here at TBOH; which is to say, “we don’t do things correctly.”  I didn’t think of it, okay?  So you’re just going to have to open your mind and read about a [...]

AUTHOR: | IN: PHI Phillies | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

Bats Back Hamels in Phils Victory

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Recap | COMMENTS: 5 Comments

Ryan Howard ended the scoring in the top of the ninth with a solo home run to deep center off of D-Backs closer J.J. Putz. Imagine going through life with the last name Putz AND playing for the Mets. Yikes. After Ryan Madson walked a tightrope in the ninth the final score was 8-4.

Nobody Should Vote for Chase Utley to Make the All-Star Team

AUTHOR: | IN: PHI Phillies | COMMENTS: 2 Comments
