The 2024 Phillies High Performance Camp rosters for the United States and the Dominican Republic were announced this week, and they feature a plethora of big-time prospects within the organization.

During the high performance camps, the Phillies prospects will work extensively on strength and conditioning. These camps will set the stage for what is to come in 2025 and give the prospects expectations heading into spring training in February.

The U.S. camp roster contains 43 players and is headlined by top prospects Aidan Miller, Dante Nori, Starlyn Caba and midseason trade acquisition Moisés Chace. Other prospects to watch include Eiberson Castellano and Griffin Burkholder, who joins Nori as a first-time attendee following their selections in the 2024 MLB Draft.

Miller, 20, had a terrific season en route to being named the Phillies No. 1 prospect in the entire organization. He made the jump from Low-A Clearwater all the way up to Double-A Reading this year, hitting .261 with 11 home runs and 60 RBI with an impressive .366 OBP in his first full minor league campaign since being drafted in the first round in 2023.

Speaking of first-round picks, the No. 7 prospect Nori makes the cut just months after being taken 27th overall in July’s amateur draft. In his first 14 games in Clearwater, Nori compiled 12 hits and nine RBI to go along with a .424 OBP and four stolen bases, showcasing his potential as a speed threat from the outfield position.

Caba, the Phillies No. 4 prospect, joined the organization in 2023 during the international signing period. His athleticism and plate vision have been on full display throughout his minor league career, as he has compiled a total of 66 stolen bases and 95 walks in 116 games. Caba has been praised for his defensive ability, and at just 18  years old he has the chance to continue to develop in the minor leagues over the next several years.

The team's No. 26 prospect, Chace, was acquired by the Phillies at this year’s trade deadline for left-hander Gregory Soto. In 19 innings of work, Chace went 2-1 with a 3.66 and 35 strikeouts. He will look to continue to get comfortable in his new organization with his first appearance in camp.

Castellano was named the Phillies' Paul Owens Award winner, alongside Justin Crawford, as the top pitcher in the minor league system. He split time between Jersey Shore and Reading, pitching to a 6-5 record to go along with a 3.99 ERA over 22 games. The biggest takeaway from his campaign was the fact that he showed a big-time ability to strike hitters out. Castellano punched out 136 batters over the course of 103 2/3 innings, good enough for a ratio of 11.8 strikeouts per nine innings.

Last but not least on the U.S. side, Burkholder enters his first camp with the team after being picked in the second round in July. His first season with the team was cut short due to injury, but in two at-bats for the Clearwater Threshers, the No. 8 prospect showcased his power and speed with a triple and a run scored. Burkholder will look to prove himself as a legitimate prospect in a crowded outfield system in this year’s camp.

54 Phillies prospects attending camp in the Dominican

On the Dominican Republic side, 54 players are attending the High Performance Camp including Jalvin Arias, Jaeden Calderon, Alexander De Los Santos and Alirio Ferrebus.

Arias,18, was signed by the Phillies during last year’s international signing period for $1.4 million. He is ranked as MLB Pipeline's 19th-best international prospect, and he had a promising first minor league season with the Phillies in limited action. In 14 games, he recorded two home runs while adding nine RBI and had a .411 OBP.

Calderon, 19, just wrapped up his second season with the DSL Phillies and picked up where he left off in 2023. Through two summers of action, Calderon has a .279 average to go along with seven home runs, 47 RBI and a .423 OBP.

De Los Santos, an 18-year-old right handed pitcher, has impressed over the course of the last two summers in the organization. In 38 innings of action this past season, De Los Santos allowed just nine earned runs and 19 walks in 38 innings of action, good enough for a 2.13 ERA and 0.97 WHIP. He has versatility as both a starter and reliever, starting nine of the 11 games he appeared in during the 2024 summer season.

Ferrebus, 19, had a hot summer from the plate, slashing .351/.424/.558 over the course of 24 games. Defensively, he provides the organization with well-needed flexibility at the first and third base positions with almost equal action at both spots.

Even though the 2024 campaign is over for the Phillies, the players continue to put in work to get ready for what is expected to be another thrilling minor league season in 2025.
