In the latest Phillies news, a former outfielder is dominating the KBO
In his return to the Korean Baseball Organization, former Phillies outfielder Hyun-Soo Kim is leading the way with some impressive stats.
In his first dozen plate appearances for the LG Twins this year, Kim is hitting a team-high.417 with a double, home run, three RBI, and a 1.167 OPS. Granted it’s only a handful of games, but the former Oriole and Phillie is off to a hot start.
Another former Phillies outfielder showing off his power in the KBO is Aaron Altherr, who hit his first home run of the season earlier this week and is batting .286 in his first three games.
For the Samsung Lions, David Buchannan and Ben Lively each struggled in their debuts. Buchannan allowed five runs off six hits in six innings with a walk, hit by pitch, and only two strikeouts.

Lively also went six innings giving up four runs on two home runs and three walks, though he did strike out six batters.
Former IronPigs starter Dan Straily got the opening day start for the Lotte Giants earlier this week. He went 5 2/3 innings giving up two runs off three hits and three walks with four strikeouts.
Former relief pitcher Ricardo Pinto has yet to appear for the KT Wiz in their first handful of games.
The KBO is certainly different, but it’s laying out a way for Major League Baseball to return and giving us some former Phillies news to keep an eye on until the Phillies are able to return, hopefully this summer.
