2013 – Shortstop J.P. Crawford, Lakewood High School

Crawford was taken with the 16th overall pick in 2013, and by 2016 had become one of the highest regarded prospects in all of baseball.

That would not last too long as Crawford began to struggle in the Minors, and had a very sub-par beginning of 2017 in the Minor Leagues. He began to heat up in the second half of 2017 and was eventually called up to the Phillies.

Crawford left the Minors with career stats of an average of .269, 41 home runs, 220 RBI, 67 stolen bases, 314 runs scored, and 344 strikeouts in 2054 at-bats.

While missing more than a month due to a forearm strain, Crawford will need to turn things around this season if he wants to live up to the hype that once surrounded him. In his Major League career to date, he has an average of .201 in 134 at bats with 2 home runs, 12 RBI and 17 runs scored.
