The Threshers offense could not keep up with their pitching as they fell to the Tampa Yankees Wednesday night.
With eight hits on the night, the only one for extra-bases came off the bat of DH Zach Green, who hit a double off of starter Josh Rogers.

Second baseman Scott Kingery was 1-4 with a walk and was caught stealing second. Catcher Gabriel Lino was the only Clearwater hitter to have a multi-hit game, going 2-2 before being replaced with a pinch-runner in the seventh inning after being hit by a pitch.
Clearwater’s pitching staff did everything it could to give their offense a chance to strike. Yacksel Rios pitched five innings and gave up two runs on three hits and two walks. The bullpen threw four shutout innings in relief with five strikeouts.
Ranfi Casimiro (5-4) starts for Clearwater Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Ray’s Single-A affilate, the Charlotte Stone Crabs. The Threshers will be looking to rebound against Charlotte, as they have lost three of their last five games.
