The Philadelphia Phillies will hold their 2016 Winter Banquet at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in January.
The exact date and time of the event is Thursday, January 21st, 2016. The festivities will begin at 6pm with a cocktail hour that will include a number of raffles, as well as the opening of bidding on various silent auction items.
As the evening proceeds, there will be a full dinner along with an open bar. Special guests from the Philadelphia Phillies organization will be on hand as well. At the moment, those confirmed for the event are manager Pete Mackanin, young pitcher Aaron Nola, and outfielder Aaron Altherr.

This annual Phillies Winter Banquet benefits IronPigs Charities, the official charitable entity for the Phillies’ AAA minor league affiliates, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. The charity is a non-profit working to provide educational and recreational activities to Lehigh Valley area children.

Both Nola and Altherr are IronPigs alumni. Nola went 3-1 with a 3.58 ERA in a half-dozen starts for Lehigh Valley at the start of the 2015 season, just prior to his promotion to the Phillies in July. Altherr hit for a .294/.362/.495 slash line in 229 plate appearances this past season at Lehigh Valley with eight homers and eight steals prior to his own promotion in mid-August.
The Sands Bethlehem Event Center is located within The Outlets at Sands Bethlehem, Pennsylvania’s newest outlet shopping center located anywhere from 45-65 miles due north of Philadelphia, depending on where you begin. It is approximately 62 miles north of Citizens Bank Park. The ride takes approximately one hour and 15 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on traffic.
There are a number of accommodations located within the area for those who wish to spend the night, or make a long weekend out of their trip. Those options include the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem.
Cost for the event is $85 per ticket, and $775 for a table of 10 attendees. There are also “Championship” tables available at special cost, which include access to a pre-event reception.
