Phillies Charities 5K Registration Open

Registration opened this morning at 9am for the annual Phillies Charities 5K event which will be held on Saturday, March 28th at 8:00AM.

The event benefits Phillies Charities, Inc. which functions as the fundraising arms of the Phillies organization. Various worthy causes in the Tri-State area of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware benefit, as well as the immediate area around Clearwater, Florida, the Spring Training home of the club.

On the day of the event, participants will find free parking in Lot M/N off Pattison Avenue, between Darien and 7th Streets. An area is set aside for Bag Check inside the West Suite and Club entrance along Citizens Bank Way from 8-11am.

Participants will receive a long-sleeve tech tee, a clear security bag containing sponsor goodies, a personalized running bib with disposable chip, an official “finisher” medal, a 20% discount coupon for the Majestic Clubhouse Store, and vouchers good for two early-season games.

The course will take you from beside and around the ballpark, out to and around FDR Park (the Lakes), and then back around the ballpark.

While there is no scheduled water stop along the course, there will be water, energy drinks, pretzels, and bananas provided at the finish line. Restrooms are available along Citizens Bank Way. Medical teams will be available on Pattison Avenue, and Bike Med teams will be along the course as well.

Weather permitting, all official participants will be permitted to do one “cool-down” lap around the warning track on the field at Citizens Bank Park. There will be no official photographers, but you can take your own pictures while there.

There will be no day-of-event registration, so visit “Phillies 5K Registration” as soon as possible, and sign-up to participate in this fun-filled event to benefit some very worthy causes.
