The Phillies look to end their four-game skid and even their series with the Nationals Saturday night. Here’s everything you need to know.

Nick Pivetta’s second start of his career wasn’t any better than the first as he allowed four runs in five innings as the Phillies lost to the Nationals Friday night, 4-2. Philadelphia has now lost four straight games with their record at 12-16.

With the Phils hoping to even the series Saturday night, here is everything you need to know about the game:

This is Stassi’s second time starting in left field (the first was April 16) and just his third game there. It is his first time batting second in the lineup. Otherwise, Philly’s lineup is pretty standard.

Starting Pitchers

Velasquez’s last outing May 1 was the best one of this season by far even though he lasted just five innings. He gave up just one run to the Cubs on a solo home run with just two hits total and three walks. He also struck out four batters, the most since his second start of the year.

Velasquez now has a 5.47 ERA, 5.96 FIP, 1.73 strikeout-to-walk ratio, and 1.44 WHIP in five starts this season.

On the other side is A.J. Cole making his first start in the majors this season, Washington’s No. 9 prospect according to MLB.com.

In four starts at Triple-A this season, Cole had a 6.63 ERA with 14 strikeouts and 10 walks in 19 innings. Cole gave up seven runs in 4.2 innings in his last start.
