One of the best things about marquee events like the MLB London Series is the special gear the players break out for the occasion.

We knew the Philadelphia Phillies had some special lumber prepared for their two-game tilt with the New York Mets at London Stadium this weekend. What we didn’t know was who would be using the custom bats and which design belonged to which player.

Which Phillies used custom London Series bats this weekend?

Well, we did know that Bryce Harper had a Phillie Phanatic bat lined up for this series, because of course he did. His custom-designed stick featured everyone’s favorite mascot dressed as a King’s Guard.

The Phillies first baseman used his Phanatic bat to swat the first home run of the series, a game-tying solo shot in the fourth inning of Game 1 on Saturday. He capped his home run trot off with his now iconic soccer-inspired slide celebration. Harper also had a double and a single but couldn't complete the cycle.

But what about the other bats that had been created by Victus Sports? Which Phillies claimed those?

We got one answer before the first game even started on Saturday. Second baseman Bryson Stott was spotted pre-game hanging around with a bat featuring the famous London Underground logo. That’s the subway, or the tube as Londoners call it.

Stott got to swing his Underground bat in Game 1, going 1-for-3 with a single, a walk and a stolen base.

Third baseman Alec Bohm had a slick-looking design of an iconic red London phone booth. Bohm went 1-for-4 with the bat on Saturday with a single and run scored in the Phillies’ six-run fourth inning that put the game away early.

We were hoping to see more custom bats in use, but the ones we saw were good enough. Now the Phillies head back to the States to continue their road trip. Unfortunately, we won’t see any custom bats in Boston and Baltimore.
