The 2024 MLB London Series is underway, and to no one's surprise, Bryce Harper showed up to play on the big stage. The Philadelphia Phillies first baseman came up big in the top of the fourth inning with his team trailing 1-0.

With one out in the frame, New York Mets starter Sean Manaea left a 2-2 hanging sweeper in the middle of the zone to Harper, who absolutely clobbered a no-doubt home run to right field. The ball exploded off Harper's custom-designed Phillie Phanatic bat at 107.2 mph.

While the blast tied the game at 1-1 and was just the first of six runs the Phillies scored in the bat-around inning, the best part was Harper's celebration when he returned to the Phillies' third base dugout. He pulled out a unique celebration for the special occasion.

As he got to the edge of the turf, Harper slid to his knees with his arms outstretched in a classic soccer goal celly. He let out a scream followed by yelling "Let's go!"

Harper buys into playing in London

Harper is fully buying into the experience of playing the game he loves in England, where soccer, or football, reigns supreme. Aside from his bat, which features the Phillie Phanatic dressed as a King's Guard, he also changed his walk-up music to the uber-popular Spice Girls' song "Wannabe," according to MLB.com's Todd Zolecki.

The Phillies' social media accounts also got into the spirit of the trip overseas, posting a series of Phillies-themed British movie posters. Harper features prominently in a spoof of the poster for the Spice Girls movie Spice World, appropriately retitled Bryce World.

The Phillies played as the visiting team on Saturday and will play as the home team on Sunday in Game 2 of the London Series, which starts bright and early at 10:10 am. ET.
