Kyle Schwarber joins elite Phillies company with 100th RBI of the season
Kyle Schwarber reached multiple milestones with his 100th run driven in during the Phillies' division-clinching win on Monday.
Kyle Schwarber continues to pump out productive seasons with another one in the books for 2024. Schwarber won his second career All-Star selection in 2022 but has found a new gear in 2024. After Monday's game, Schwarber is now batting .250 with 37 home runs, 100 RBI and an .855 OPS.
Schwarber has an unspoken leadership in the clubhouse that radiates through his teammates and witnessing fans. The continued saga of the leadoff debate and Schwarber's ability to provide at the top of a stacked lineup is always pushed to the side once fans catch a glimpse of a ball flying 400+ feet into the Philadelphia night. It puts the cherry on top of winning the division for the first time in 13 years, per MLB.com's Todd Zolecki.

Even batting leadoff, Schwarber has remained the most consistent RBI machine for the club since joining in 2022. Say what you will about his batting average, he is elite in his own way with power and a vibe that can ignite a crowd. With his 100th RBI on Monday night, Schwarber joined some elite company.
With his third-inning home run, Schwarber hit the milestone of 100 RBI on the year, his second as a Phillie in back-to-back seasons. According to Zolecki, Schwarber also became the first Phillie to have back-to-back 100-RBI seasons since Ryan Howard did it from 2006-11.
On Monday, Schwarber became the third Phillies player since 1920 (when RBI became official) with 100 runs, 100 RBI and 100 walks in back-to-back seasons. He joins the likes of Bobby Abreu in 2004-05 and Mike Schmidt in 1976-77.
Per Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer, if he can reach 40 homers, Schwarber will join Schmidt as the only Phillies players to accomplish a season with 40 home runs, 100 runs, 100 RBI and 100 walks. He's currently at 37 home runs with five games to go.
Schwarber also set an MLB record at the time with his major league record 14th leadoff home run of the season on Sept.10.
