The Philadelphia Phillies (38-18) will try to avoid being swept by the San Francisco Giants (29-27) in the series finale on Wednesday afternoon at Oracle Park.

After looking unstoppable for most of the season, the Phillies' bats have fallen silent on this road trip. Outside of their six-run ninth inning on Saturday, in their lone win on this trip, they've managed just 10 runs in five games.

They couldn't offer Zack Wheeler any support on Tuesday, getting shut out in 10 innings in an uninspiring 1-0 loss. Wheeler went six frames, allowing just two hits while recording nine strikeouts. The loss is their third straight, and it let the Atlanta Braves trim one game off the Phils' lead in the NL East, which is down to 5.0 games.

The rookie southpaw leads all rookie pitchers with 60 innings pitched this season and comes in with a 3.90 ERA and 1.30 WHIP.
