The Philadelphia Phillies (7-7) fell back to .500 after losing 5-2 on Friday night to the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates (10-4). On a night the team debuted its new City Connect uniforms, nothing seemed to go right as former Phillie Bailey Falter came out on top with the win.

With the series tied 1-1, the Phillies will try to secure a series tie at the minimum with a win on Saturday. They're still close to the Atlanta Braves in the NL East, trailing the division leaders by 2.0 games early in the season.
