Philadelphia Phillies probable pitchers & starting lineups vs Miami Marlins, June 29
The Phillies take on the Marlins in the third game of their series on Saturday.
After a brutal loss on Thursday, the Philadelphia Phillies (54-28) took care of business in a Friday night win over the Miami Marlins (29-53) at Citizens Bank Park. The two squads line up for Game 3 on Saturday afternoon.
With Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber placed on the 10-day IL on Friday, the Phillies rode starter Cristopher Sánchez's first career complete-game shutout to a 2-0 win. The lefty dominated the Marlins, striking out nine while allowing just three hits and walking none
The Phillies two runs came courtesy of a fifth-inning Bryson Stott fielder's choice groundout and a Johan Rojas-manufactured run in the eighth. Just returned from Triple-A, Rojas used his electric speed to stretch a single into a double before taking third on a ball that scooted away from Marlins catcher Ali Sánchez. Stott picked up his second RBI of the game with a sacrifice fly to bring Rojas home for the insurance run.
