The Philadelphia Phillies have released their official roster for the National League Championship Series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The best-of-seven series gets underway tonight at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
The Phillies took care of business in the National League Division Series, eliminating the Atlanta Braves in four games, for the second year in a row, in a wild and emotionally charged matchup. Now, with the start of the NLCS mere hours away, manager Rob Thomson and the Phillies have made some changes and announced who they're taking into battle against the Diamondbacks.
The sixth-seeded Diamondbacks swept both their Wild Card series with the Milwaukee Brewers and their NLDS matchup with the Los Angeles Dodgers, bringing a perfect 5-0 record with them into the NLCS.
In case you missed it, we have everything you need to know about the NLCS, including dates and times of all the games and where you can watch and listen to the Phillies as they continue their playoff run.
Philadelphia Phillies NLCS roster
Teams are limited to 26 players for the postseason. The Phillies will head into the NLCS against the Diamondbacks with an even 13 position players and 13 pitchers on the roster.
If there's an injury, that player can be replaced, with permission from the Commissioner's Office, but is ineligible for the rest of the round and the following round. It's worth noting that a pitcher can only be
replaced by another pitcher, and a position player can only be replaced by another position player.
Here is the Phillies' official NLCS roster:
