The Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets are set for Game 2 of the NLDS on Sunday at Citizens Bank Park.
The Phillies got off to a great start in Game 1 on Saturday. Led by a massive Kyle Schwarber leadoff home run, ace Zack Wheeler dominated the visiting Mets for seven innings in what turned out to be a historic start for the veteran. According to MLB.com's Paul Casella, Wheeler became the only pitcher in postseason history with multiple starts of seven-plus shutout innings without allowing more than one hit.
Unfortunately, the Phillies bullpen blew it up and let the Mets score five runs in the eighth inning, leading to an eventual 6-2 loss. The Phillies bats only managed five hits, with Schwarber's home run the only run scored until they added one in the bottom of the ninth.

Probable pitchers for Phillies vs. Mets NLDS Game 2
Cristopher Sánchez will take the ball for the Phillies in the must-win NLDS Game 2. With a 2.21 ERA at home this year, manager Rob Thomson is going with the breakout left-hander over veteran Aaron Nola. Sánchez faced the Mets three times this season, going 1-0 with a 3.06 ERA. In his two September starts against the NL East rival, he held them to three runs on nine hits over 12 innings while striking out 14.
Luis Severino will counter for the Mets. The 30-year-old right-hander picked up the win in Game 1 of the Wild Card Series against the Milwaukee Brewers earlier this week. He went six innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on eight hits in that one. Severino faced the Phillies twice in September, going 1-0 while giving up three runs over six innings in each start.
