Unlike his start in Double-A, it didn’t take long for Aidan Miller to adjust to Triple-A. Miller is the Philadelphia Phillies’ No. 2 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, and has turned it up a notch after a slow start to the 2025 season.
The Phillies decided to hold on to their top talent in the minor leagues at this year’s trade deadline, and it looks like it was the right move. Although Eduardo Tait was traded along with Mick Abel to the Minnesota Twins for Jhoan Duran, the Phillies were able to keep Andrew Painter, Justin Crawford and Miller in the farm system.
Aidan Miller off to hot start after late-season promotion to Triple-A
The Phillies promoted Miller to Triple-A on Sept. 7 after he spent most of the season in Double-A. The 21-year-old has taken full advantage of the opportunity through his first eight games with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
Miller was 0-for-2 with three walks, three stolen bases and a run scored in his Triple-A debut on Sept. 9. Since then, he's been on a seven-game hitting streak with three extra-base hits, including his first career Triple-A home run on Tuesday.

Although Miller has a .333 batting average across 27 at-bats in Triple-A, the 2025 season was a down year for the 2023 first-round pick. He was hitting .218 through July 27 and had two months when his batting average was below the .200 mark.
Miller broke out of his funk in late July and turned his season around. He had a .348 batting average with 13 doubles, four home runs, 16 RBI and 13 stolen bases in 89 at-bats in August and was hitting .348 through six games in September in Double-A before his promotion to Triple-A.
Miller is slashing .264/.392/.433 with an .825 OPS, 27 doubles, two triples, 14 home runs, 42 RBIs and 59 stolen bases in 116 games between Double-A and Triple-A this season. The IronPigs have two games left in the regular season.
The Phillies don’t have an immediate need in the infield with Trea Turner, Bryson Stott and Alec Bohm on the roster, but Miller could force his way to the major league level as soon as next year. He'll likely begin the year in Triple-A, but with a good offseason and spring training, Miller could be on his way to making his highly anticipated MLB debut in 2026.
