Watch out, baseball world. The Philadelphia Phillies have finally picked up some steam. After losing in the opening contest of a four-game series against the Nationals, Philadelphia tallied three straight come-from-behind games over the Nationals on the road. This small stretch of baseball has not only been exciting, but it felt imperative.

The Phillies needed a headline series before hosting the 2026 All-Star Game in a few weeks. The franchise was desperate for a spark. Following an 8-18 start to the season, Phillies fans could sense doom before reaching May. But this club is clearly turning a corner, and Bryce Harper seems to agree with the way the momentum has turned.

After crushing the go-ahead two-run home run on Thursday night to ignite a third consecutive ninth-inning rally against his former team, Harper told Major League Baseball that the Phillies are coming.

Phillies fans should be fired up. And the rest of the league needs to "watch out".

Bryce Harper's message to Major League Baseball should have Phillies fans believing in team's resurgence

A happy Bryce Harper should make a happy Phillies fan. Harper has been great all season long in spite of the team's struggles. He's on pace for his sixth career 30-plus home run season, which would be his fourth with Philadelphia.

But now, Harper can actually start to show excitement following his better games. The team is winning more, which matters most to him. That's really when he will talk — so the results of these last few nights couldn't have happened at a better time.

Philadelphia has a three-game series this weekend in Queens. The Phillies are not only looking to capitalize on the momentum from the three big wins over the Nationals, but to jump on the Mets trying to re-piece their disappointing season back to life. New York fired Carlos Mendoza on Friday morning ahead of the series against the Phillies. The Phils should smell blood in the water.

Following Harper's message on Thursday night ahead of the Mets' series, Phillies fans should be feeling more confident than any other point this year. They had a statement series win against Washington, all while the Mets (and the Braves) are struggling as we near the halfway mark of the year.
