The Philadelphia Phillies were one of the best offensive teams in the MLB in 2025. They finished in the top 10 in just about every offensive category, including a .258 average that ranked second in the league. That resulted in NL batting champ Trea Turner and home run leader Kyle Schwarber being the team's only two Silver Slugger Award finalists for 2025.

Although each of the Phillies' finalists face some tough competition for the award, they're both incredibly deserving of it, given their performance in a deep lineup. It was a Phillies lineup that included other stars which struggled to live up to their offensive standards in 2025. Those stars will need to regain their Silver Slugger status at the plate in 2026 if the Phillies want to have a successful season.

3 Phillies players fans hope can have bounce-back Silver Slugger seasons

Bryce Harper

Now an MLB veteran of 14 years, Bryce Harper failed to win a Silver Slugger at first base in 2025 after winning the hardware in the prior season. Harper's stats weren't terrible by any means at all, as he slashed .261/.357/.487 with 27 home runs and 75 RBIs. However, those numbers are the lowest Harper has posted in his seven full seasons in Philadelphia.

Harper played in 132 games after he briefly landed on the IL this past summer with inflammation in his right wrist. That wrist may have hindered his production a bit and has fans wondering if Harper's best seasons are now behind him. It would be foolish, however, to believe that the two-time-MVP doesn't have more left in the tank for 2026 as he somehow enters the second half of his Phillies contract.

J.T. Realmuto

This, of course, is dependent on Realmuto re-signing with Philadelphia in free agency this winter. The Phillies almost have to bring Realmuto back due his importance to the pitching staff and the catcher market being weak this offseason. Despite the 34-year-old Realmuto having another down year at the plate to the tune of a .257/.315/.384 slash, catchers of his caliber don't come around very often.

It's understandable to expect Realmuto's numbers to dip as he enters the final stretch of his big league career, as he caught at least 134 games for the fourth time in the last five seasons. The Phillies' backstop still has some juice in his bat though, as he was the team's best hitter in the playoffs with a .353 average and 1.118 OPS. If he re-signs and catches fewer games in 2026, Realmuto could turn that solid playoff run into a Silver Slugger-worthy season for the Phillies.

Alec Bohm

Although he has a better chance of remaining on the team's roster in 2026, Alec Bohm's future in Philadelphia is once again up in the air. Bohm followed his All-Star 2024 season with a disappointing injury-plagued 2025 which showed no clear improvements in the batter's box. Bohm's .287 average and .741 OPS in 120 games was on pace to match the season totals that we've come to expect from him.

His .409 slugging percentage was down significantly from the year before, as were his 59 RBIs. Bohm was a machine with RISP in 2023 and 2024, when he was healthy for most of the season. We'd all love to see his power numbers increase, but he's a great contact bat who knows his role in the middle of a lineup. Should he survive the offseason trade rumors again, a healthy Bohm has as solid a chance as anyone to win a Silver Slugger for the Phillies in 2026.
