Phillies announce revised 60-game schedule for 2020 season

Revised 2020 Phillies schedule

Despite several Philadelphia Phillies games being recently postponed as a result of positive tests for COVID-19, it appears Major League Baseball is committed to every team playing 60 games in its shortened 2020 season amid the ongoing pandemic.

On Thursday, the league announced numerous scheduling changes for several teams, including the Phillies. Here is a breakdown of the revised Phillies schedule in their first year under manager Joe Girardi — which includes the team playing:

  • 36 games in their final 34 days of the season (from August 25 to September 27)
  • 33 games in 30 days (from August 25 to September 23)
  • 17 games in 14 days (from September 10-23)
  • a 5-day, 7-game road series against the Marlins (September 10-14)
