The Phillies have announced their 60-game schedule for the 2020 season

The Philadelphia Phillies were supposed to start their 2020 season on the road, March 26 against the Miami Marlins at Marlins Park. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic came about, pausing spring training in mid-March, and, subsequently, the regular season slate.

Since then, MLB and the MLBPA agreed to play a shortened 60-game season starting in late July; on Monday, the Phillies announced their revised schedule, with their season opener slated for July 24, home against the the Miami Marlins.

The Phillies’ schedule, from July 24 to September 27, includes six off-days and features nine different opponents — the Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Miami Marlins, New York Mets, New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Rays, Toronto Blue Jays, and Washington Nationals.

The Phillies will play each of their National League East rivals 10 times, the Blue Jays six times, the Red Sox and Yankees four times each, and the Orioles and Rays three times each.

Spanning the 20 different series, the Phillies will play 30 games at home, and 30 games on the road — all with the designated hitter, and, for now, all without fans. Their longest stretch without an off day will be 20 games from August 25 to September 13.

Thirty of the games will be played in the 7 p.m. hour, 16 games in the 6 p.m. hour, four games in the 4 p.m. hour, two games in the 3 p.m. hour, and seven games in the 1 p.m. hour. One of the games’ start times (September 20: vs. Toronto Blue Jays) is still yet to be determined.

The Phillies will also play at least two exhibition games prior to Opening Day, away against the Nationals on July 18, as well as a home against the Orioles on July 19.
