Jake Arrieta takes the ball for the Phillies in the rubber match out west

Coming off a 5-1 victory in San Diego the Phillies send ace number two to the mound in an attempt to salvage this road trip.

Jake Arrieta had an impressive month of July, going 4-0 with a 2.28 ERA for Philadelphia. He’ll make just his fifth career start at Petco Park, where he carries a 2.74 ERA.
