What are the odds the Phillies can cap off 2018 with some hardware?
Phillies opening day is less than a week away with the season opener in Atlanta, and the oddsmakers have set the bar for not just the team, but for individuals on the 25-man roster.
Bovada has Philadelphia at +/- 75.5 wins this year with the money line going towards the under. Many national pundits are picking Philadelphia to compete for one of two wild card spots, but 75 wins would leave them on the outside of the playoff hunt.
Last year the Colorado Rockies clinched the final of four wild card slots by winning 87 games.
Oddsmakers also listed Philadelphia as +700 to win the National League East, ahead of Atlanta and Miami.
Perhaps the most intriguing line is for the Cy Young, which features two Phils; Jake Arrieta and Aaron Nola. Bovada lists both of the aces at +4000, tied for eighth in the National League. Both are sneaky Cy Young candidates this season, and Arrieta could be a serious contender if he has a bounce-back season.

On offense, the Phillies were represented by left fielder/first baseman Rhys Hoskins, who is listed at +6000 to win the National League MVP in his sophomore season, 15th among those named. Hoskins is also considerably high on the prop bet for the Major League home run leader at +3000, tied for eighth behind the likes of Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Judge, Bryce Harper, JD Martinez, and Mike Trout.
Philadelphia is +7500 to win the World Series, 14th among all teams and in the more realistic bet category before teams such as Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh double that line.
