Alan Mills – Baltimore Orioles bullpen coach

Just as Matt Klentak knows the Angels organization like the back of his hand Phillies president Andy MacPhail knows the Orioles. A member of Baltimore’s coaching staff, bullpen coach Alan mills, might be on MacPhail’s list of potential pitching coach candidates.

Mills spent 12 years pitching for the Orioles, Dodgers, and Yankees from 1990-2001, appearing in 474 career games. He’s more widely known from the infamous Yankees/Orioles brawl where he sucker-punched Darryl Strawberry in an all-out brawl that migrated into the dugout.

Brawl aside Mills is an accomplished pitcher and has worked under MacPhail in the past.
