Who could join Scott Franzke in the Phillies radio booth for the 2018 season?

Beloved Phillies radio color analyst Larry Andersen has announced he plans on reducing his time in the broadcast booth, opening a major hole alongside Scott Franzke. A staple of summer since 2007 Andersen and Franzke have a unique bond that few can match.

With that being said, here are five former Phillies who could fill in for Andersen next season and beyond.

Brad Lidge

Lidge is coming in as a reliever to the former pitcher Andersen, and could be a tremendous complement to Franzke. A staple of the 2008 World Series club Lidge has cemented himself as a Phillies folk hero with his perfect season.

Now living in Colorado with his family Lidge has been working towards a degree in archeology while hosting a radio show on Sirius XM. With the radio pedigree in his background Lidge brings experience both behind the mic and on the mound. Fans will certainly listen to hear stories from the locker room from the man who nearly won a Cy Young as a closer.

If Lidge can handle the travel with a young family it could be a match made in heaven.
