Reading won on a walk-off home run on back-to-back nights against Erie, this time in extra innings. Shortstop Angelo Mora hit a two-run home run in the 11th inning to give the Fightin’ Phils their 31st win of the season.

The Fightin’ Phils have won 7 of their last 10 games.

Generally the offense was productive once again for Reading. Jorge Alfaro continued his hot streak with another multi-hit game. Alfaro along with Mora, Jesmuel Valentin, and Jake Fox all went 2-5 Wednesday night.

Dylan Cozens hit his 13th home run, this one a three-run jack off of Seawolves starter Anthony Fernandez.

Roman Quinn, after going 5-5 last night, went cold with an 0-5 performance that featured two strikeouts.

Reading starter Anthony Vasquez pitched six innings, allowing 12 hits and four earned runs. He did strikeout six batters and lowered his era to 2.24.

Mario Hollands pitched an inning and two-thirds where he struck out three and allowed two hits. Joely Rodriquez got the win after pitching a perfect 11th inning that included a strikeout.

The Phillies third round pick from 2014 John Richy (2-1) will take the mound Thursday looking to take a home third straight win against the Seawolves.
