NOTES
Opening Day at Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies are openly in “rebuild” mode. The Red Sox are in “go for it” mode, trying to bounce back from a last place finish to a World Series title for 2nd time in recent years. Ex-Phil World Series hero, Shane Victorino (The Flyin’ Hawaiian) starting in right field for Boston. Game in Philly, so DH will not be utilized. Boston starting David ‘Big Papi’ Ortiz, their regular DH, at 1st base. The Red Sox were the leading rumor candidate for Hamels services in off-season, so could be a big step in that process.
