With the regular season right around the corner, here is a rundown of the promotions and giveaways the Phillies have planned for 2024.
With the Philadelphia Phillies' regular season right around the corner, we should take a look at some of the promotions the team is putting on for fans this season. Every year there are some popular giveaways that are definitely worth the trip to the ballpark.
If you haven't heard yet, the Phillies open the 2024 season at home, hosting the division rival Atlanta Brave for a three-game set on March 28 and then March 30-31, with a pair of giveaways to get things kicked off on the right foot.
If you're heading to Citizens Bank Park for Opening Day on Thursday, March 28, you can get yourself a Phillies scarf, which might come in handy if it's a typical brisk March day in Philly. This giveaway is for all fans in attendance, so there's no rush to get to the ballpark, unless you're itching to get baseball season started as soon as possible.
The second game of the series, on Saturday, March 30, features a McDonald’s Opening Night with Phillies T-Shirt giveaway. It's a red t-shirt emblazoned with "The Fightins" for fans 15 and over.
Highlights from the rest of the Phillies' promotions and giveaway schedule
The Phillies' promotions department has put together an exciting mix of giveaways this season, from bobbleheads to hats and even a replica NL Champions ring.
In April, there's a Cavity Busters sleeveless hoodie up for grabs on Sunday, April 14 and Phanatic mittens on Sunday, April 21, both for children 14 and under.
In May, the Phillies celebrate Mother's Day on Sunday, May 5 with a ladies' bucket hat for women 15 and over, followed by a Bryson Stott bobblehead for all fans on Friday, May 17. There is also a giveaway of the Phanatic's children's book for kids 14 and under on Sunday, May 19.
Father's Day at Citizens Bank Park will see the Phillies giveaway hats to men 15 and over on Sunday, June 23.
The team is hosting a Chick-fil-A 1980s Retro Night on Thursday, July 11, with a Phillies Bullpen Cart for kids 14 and under and then a Sustainable Phillies Cap presented by PGW for all fans the following night on Friday, July 12.
The second bobblehead of the season will be available to all fans on Friday, July 26, and this one is of star shortstop Trea Turner. The final giveaway in July is a Kyle Schwarber “Schwarbomb” beach towel for kids 14 and under on Sunday, July 28.
Phillies legend Cole Hamels being celebrated in June
The biggest celebration of the season will undoubtedly be reserved for Friday, June 21, when the Phillies host the Cole Hamels Retirement Night. This event will honor the 2008 World Series MVP, who will officially retire as a Phillie in a pre-game ceremony. Fans 15 and over will receive a 2009 National League Champions Replica Ring.
And finally, Phillies Wall of Fame Night on Saturday, Aug. 17 and Phillies Alumni Day on Sunday, Aug. 18, will cap off the promotion schedule as far as we know at this point.
