It's about time. News has filtered out that the Philadelphia Phillies organization is promoting a couple of top prospects whose stock has exploded this season.

Nothing has been made official by the team at this time, but the names who are making a move are exciting nonetheless.

Phillies promoting pair of top prospects who have dominated Single-A

According to Chase Ford of the Milb Central account on X, the Phillies are promoting shortstop Aidan Miller and starting pitcher George Klassen to the High-A Jersey Shore BlueClaws.

Both players have spent the first two months of the season playing for the Single-A Clearwater Threshers — except they weren't just playing for the Threshers, they absolutely dominated for the Threshers.

Aidan Miller has been crushing Single-A pitching

Aidan Miller, the team's No. 2 prospect per MLB Pipeline, has done nothing but crush Florida State League pitching this year. He's slashing .275/.401/.483 in 39 games, and that's after his numbers have taken a bit of a hit in June. The just-turned-20-year-old has hit a rough patch over the last week, hitting just .115 with a .425 OPS.

On the year, Miller has five home runs, 10 stolen bases and 26 RBI. MLB Pipeline's No. 47 prospect has shown some impressive exit velocity in his young professional career. While there was some early speculation that Miller would end up as a third baseman, MLB.com's Paul Casella recently reported that the Phillies intend to leave him at shortstop.

George Klassen has been lights out for the Threshers

Right-hander George Klassen, the Phillies' No. 28 prospect, has burst onto the scene this season. A sixth-round pick in 2023, Klassen has looked almost unhittable in Single-A, as his 0.71 ERA and 0.87 WHIP in nine starts attest.

His 13.50 K/9 shows just how dominating he has been — that's 57 strikeouts in 38 innings. While his command has fluctuated, he still has allowed only 12 walks.

Klassen dealt with a minor shoulder issue in May after earning not one but two Pitcher of the Month Awards in April. He won the Florida State League Pitcher of the Month Award and the Phillies' organizational Minor League Pitcher of the Month Award.
