The Philadelphia Phillies (33-14) and Washington Nationals (20-24) will wrap up their three-game series at Citizens Bank Park on Sunday afternoon. The Phillies are looking for yet another series sweep after taking Saturday's contest 4-3 in extra innings.

The Phillies came back from three separate one-run deficits, including Kody Clemens' dramatic final-out solo home run in the bottom of the ninth that tied the game 3-3. Bryce Harper sealed the win in the 10th with a sacrifice fly.

With the Atlanta Braves game postponed, the Phillies' third walk-off of the season moved them 4.0 games ahead in the NL East, although the Braves have now played six fewer games somehow. Sunday's finale against the Nats will give the Phillies a chance to claim their sixth series sweep of the season.

Phillies vs. Nationals probable pitchers, May 19

  • Aaron Nola (5-2) will take the ball for the Phillies today, making his 10th start. On Tuesday, the righty dropped his season ERA from 3.67 to 3.10 with his impressive complete-game shutout of the Mets. Nola's first win of the season came against these Nats on April 5, when he spun 5 2/3 innings of shutout ball, giving up just two hits but walking four while striking out four.
  • Right-hander Trevor Williams (4-0) will start the series finale for the Nationals. The 32-year-old has a 1.94 ERA and 1.06 WHIP through eight starts. After striking out eight Orioles in a May 7 win, he struck out just two White Sox hitters over five innings in a no decision last time out. He missed the Phils in their April series but faced them four times last year. He went 2-2 with a 5.48 ERA in those matchups.
