The Philadelphia Phillies (40-18) got back to their winning ways back at home on Friday night and will look to take the series against the St. Louis Cardinals (27-28) on Saturday.

Aaron Nola was fantastic in Friday's 4-2 win. He went 6 1/3, allowing just two solo home runs and striking out six on the way to his seventh win of the year. He was backed by Edmundo Sosa's big bat. Sosa blasted a two-run moonshot home run onto Ashburn Alley in the second inning to put the Phillies up 3-0.

That was all the offense Phillies pitchers would need, with Matt Strahm, José Alvarado and Jeff Hoffman shutting the door on the Cardinals out of the bullpen.
