Philadelphia Phillies probable pitchers & starting lineups vs. San Francisco Giants, May 3
The Philadelphia Phillies (21-11) are back home and welcome the San Francisco Giants (15-17) to Citizens Bank Park for a four-game series starting tonight. The Phillies had a successful 7-3 road trip, including a 5-1 West Coast swing. They still trail the Atlanta Braves by 0.5 games in the division but are in the driver's seat in the first Wild Card spot by 4.5 games.

- Aaron Nola (4-1) opens the series for the Phillies, making his seventh start and has a 3.20 ERA and 1.07 WHIP. The righty has gone eight innings in his last two outings. He cruised through the San Diego Padres lineup last time out, striking out 10 allowing three runs on seven hits. Nola started one game against the Giants last season; he picked up the win with a seven-inning, two-run, five-strikeout effort.
- Jordan Hicks (2-0) will counter for the Giants. The reliever-turned-starter has looked good in his new role with his new team so far this season. He brings a 1.59 ERA and 0.91 WHIP into his seventh start tonight. His velocity is down from his days in the bullpen, but he still averages 96.8 mph with the four-seamer and 95.6 mph with the sinker. Keep an eye on him tonight, as he left his last start with side tightness.
