The Philadelphia Phillies (21-11) are back home and welcome the San Francisco Giants (15-17) to Citizens Bank Park for a four-game series starting tonight. The Phillies had a successful 7-3 road trip, including a 5-1 West Coast swing. They still trail the Atlanta Braves by 0.5 games in the division but are in the driver's seat in the first Wild Card spot by 4.5 games.

The Giants are coming off a series loss to the Boston Red Sox, although they won the series finale yesterday 3-1. They are third in the NL West, 4.5 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers. Last season, the Phillies went 2-4 against the Giants but included a walk-off win courtesy of Trea Turner.

The Phillies announced earlier today that relief pitcher Yunior Marte has been placed on the 15-day IL with right shoulder inflammation. They have called up right-hander José Ruiz to take his place.
