The Philadelphia Phillies (8-7) head into Sunday looking to secure the series win over the Pittsburgh Pirates (10-5). - Zack Wheeler (0-2) will hope for better luck and more support from his team when he takes the ball on Sunday. He comes in with a 1.89 ERA and 0.89 WHIP with 20 strikeouts over 19 innings in three starts this season — unfortunately, he still hasn't picked up a win. The Phillies ace went 1-0 in two starts against the Pirates last year. He allowed two runs on seven hits while striking out 16 in 10 2/ 3 innings of work.
- The 28-year-old Mitch Keller (1-1) will start for the Pirates in the series finale. He has had a rough start to his season, with a 5.29 ERA and 1.59 WHIP in three games, but had a strong outing with nine strikeouts on Monday against the Detroit Tigers. The Phillies saw Keller twice in 2023. The right-hander gave up four runs on nine hits, struck out 14 batters, and walked five over 11 2/3 innings.
