Philadelphia Phillies probable pitchers & starting lineups vs New York Yankees, July 30
The lineups are set as the Phillies try to bust their slump against the Yankees at Citizens Bank Park.
The Philadelphia Phillies (65-41) and New York Yankees (63-45) will square off for Game 2 at Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday night. By the time they take the field for first pitch, the MLB trade deadline will be over, and both teams will know if any new additions will be joining their rosters for the stretch run.
Monday's 14-4 loss was another in a series of demoralizing losses for the slumping Phillies. Starter Zack Wheeler gave up seven runs on seven hits, including three of the Phillies' six-allowed home runs to the Bronx Bombers. The top of the Phillies order was ice cold, with the 1-4 batters going a combined 1-for-13.
Aaron Judge mashed a couple of huge home runs, and former Miami Marlins pest Jazz Chisholm Jr. made his presence felt as well, going 2-for-4 with three RBI on a pair of home runs. With the loss, the Phillies dropped their fifth straight series opener and are 4-9 since completing a sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers on July 11.
