The Philadelphia Phillies (41-19) host the Milwaukee Brewers (36-23) at Citizens Bank Park on Monday to begin a three-game series. They'll welcome back beloved former Phillie Rhys Hoskins for the first time since letting him go in free agency after last season. He's sure to get a massive ovation at The Bank.
The Phillies are coming off a tough 5-4 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday Night Baseball but still won the series. They remain 6.5 games up on the Atlanta Braves in the NL East. The Brewers lead the NL Central by a healthy 7.0-game margin and are coming off three straight series wins, including a weekend sweep of the Chicago White Sox.
Unfortunately, the Phillies will be without outfielder Brandon Marsh on Monday and for an extended period. He was placed on the 10-day IL with a right hamstring strain. Infielder Kody Clemens was also added to the 10-day IL with back spasms. David Dahl and Weston Wilson will take their spots on the roster.
