Philadelphia Phillies probable pitchers & starting lineups vs. Los Angeles Dodgers, August 7
The lineups are set as the Phillies try to win their first series since the All-Star break when they take on the Dodgers.
The Philadelphia Phillies (67-46) will try to win their first series since the All-Star break when they close out their three-game set with the Los Angeles Dodgers (66-48) on Wednesday.
The Phillies put together a complete game in Tuesday's 6-2 win and took the season series from the Dodgers, thanks in large part to starter Cristopher Sánchez's brilliant outing. The lefty rebounded from a rough start against the Yankees and held the NL West leaders to one run on five hits through six innings.
The offense looked good against veteran Clayton Kershaw, racking up 14 hits, while Nick Castellanos (one RBI), Edmundo Sosa (three RBI) and Kyle Schwarber (two RBI) all drove in runs in support of Sánchez. The bullpen held the Dodgers to one run over the final three frames to seal the Phillies' second win in three days.
