Philadelphia Phillies probable pitchers & starting lineups vs Diamondbacks, June 21
The Phillies will honor Cole Hamels before Friday's series opener with the Diamondbacks.
The Philadelphia Phillies (49-25) welcome last year's NLCS nemesis, the Arizona Diamondbacks (37-38) to town on Friday to open a three-game weekend series. This is the first meeting between the two teams since the Diamondbacks eliminated the Phillies in Game 7 of the NLCS last season.
Coming off a series win over the San Diego Padres, the Phils have a special evening in store with a pre-game retirement ceremony for Phillies great Cole Hamels. The festivities will get underway at 6:25 p.m. ET and be broadcast on Apple TV+ and NBC Sports Philadelphia. The game will only be carried on Apple TV+.
The D-backs, coming off a series win of their own after taking two of three from the Washington Nationals this week, are tied with the Padres for the final NL Wild Card.
