The Philadelphia Phillies (51-26) roll into Comerica Park on Monday to open a three-game series against the Detroit Tigers (36-41). After winning the final two games against the Diamondbacks on the weekend, thanks to the newly-extended Cristopher Sanchez's sparkling Sunday start, the Phillies reclaimed the mantle as the top team in MLB, with a .662 winning percentage.

The Phillies swept the Tigers last June in Philadelphia and are in a much different position than Detroit this season. Coming off a series win against the White Sox, the Tigers are 4-6 in their last 10 games and sit 14.0 games out of first in the AL Central and 5.5 games back of the final AL Wild Card spot. They are 18-20 at home and have a 12-20 record against teams over .500.

The Phillies, on the other hand, are 20-14 on the road and have a MLB-best +114 run differential heading into Monday's action.
