The Philadelphia Phillies (12-8) and the Chicago White Sox (3-16) square off on Saturday in the second game of their three-game series. After Friday's 7-0 drubbing on the back of an incredible pitching performance by starter Spencer Turnbull, no one would blame the White Sox for not showing up on Saturday.

Turnbull took a no-hitter into the seventh inning. He gave up a single to Gavin Sheets but finished the frame and another stellar outing as part of arguably the best rotation in the majors. The right-hander allowed the one hit while striking out six and walking two. He got support from third baseman Alec Bohm's pair of three-run home runs and a solo shot added by Whit Merrifield.

Phillies vs. White Sox probable pitchers, April 20

  • Zack Wheeler (0-3) will toe the rubber for the Phillies, looking for his first win of the season. The tough-luck ace has yet to pick up a victory despite pitching four strong games. He has a 3.00 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with 30 strikeouts in 24 innings. His last start against the Pittsburgh Pirates ended with one bad sixth-inning pitch that resulted in a grand slam. Until then, he had been cruising with 10 strikeouts through five innings.
  • Michael Soroka (0-2) will counter for the White Sox. The 26-year-old right-hander, making yet another comeback attempt in his first season with Chicago, comes in with a 6.98 ERA and 1.76 WHIP. He has struggled with command, posting 12 walks to 10 strikeouts in 19 1/3 innings. So far, opponents are slugging .513 against the Canadian hurler, who has surrendered four home runs, three doubles and a triple.
