Philadelphia Phillies probable pitchers & starting lineups vs. Chicago Cubs, September 24
The lineups are set as the NL East champion Phillies can clinch a first-round bye on Tuesday when they face the Cubs.
The Philadelphia Phillies (93-64) will have to dry out from their champagne- and beer-soaked celebration after clinching the NL East division for their second game against the Chicago Cubs (80-77) on Tuesday.
The Phillies cruised to a 6-2 win behind Aaron Nola's clutch effort on Monday at Citizens Bank Park. The longest-tenured Phillie pitched into the seventh, scattering seven hits and allowing two runs while striking out seven Cubs. Matt Strahm, Jeff Hoffman and Carlos Estévez cleaned up the rest of the game to seal the division championship in front of the home fans.
Now, with the NL East wrapped up, the Phillies will turn their attention to grabbing a first-round bye. They can do so tonight, with their magic number sitting at two. If they win and the Milwaukee Brewers lose they're guaranteed one of the top two spots in the National League.

Tanner Banks (2-2) will open for the Phillies. The lefty has a 3.00 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in 19 games since joining the Phillies at the trade deadline. With today being Taijuan Walker's day to pitch, we may see him after Banks, with Tyler Gilbert and Kolby Allard also in play.
Justin Steele (5-5) will start for the Cubs. The 29-year-old left-hander has a 3.03 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in 23 starts this season. He has dealt with a couple of injuries this season, and in his first game back from the IL last time out, he went only 2 2/3 innings against the A's.
