Philadelphia Phillies probable pitchers & starting lineups vs Baltimore Orioles, June 15
The Phillies resume their series against the Orioles today with Brandon Marsh back from the IL.
The Philadelphia Phillies (47-22) will secure the series win against the Baltimore Orioles (45-24) on Saturday after taking Game 1 by a final score of 5-3 in a drama-filled extended extra-innings affair on Friday night.
Thanks to a rain delay, the teams had to wait more than an hour to start play in the 11th inning. But when things finally dried up, the Phillies were ready to take the win, scoring two on an Alec Bohm double. Seranthony Domínguez shut the door in the bottom of the inning to complete what Ranger Suárez had started over four hours earlier.
Suárez didn't flinch against the second-best team in the American League, throwing 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball. Kyle Schwarber and Rafael Marchan hit solo home runs in support of their starter.
The Phillies got more good news today, as outfielder Brandon Marsh has been activated from the 10-day IL.
