Philadelphia Phillies probable pitchers & starting lineups vs. Atlanta Braves, August 30
The lineups are set as the Phillies go for two wins in a row against the Braves at Citizens Bank Park.
The Philadelphia Phillies (79-55) will try to make it two wins in a row over the Atlanta Braves (73-61) when the NL East rivals clash for the second tilt of their four-game series on Friday. The Braves came into the series just 5.0 games back in the division, and things were tense in Philly after Taijuan Walker's 10-0 loss against the Houston Astros on Wednesday.
Things feel much better after the Phillies' rousing 5-4 comeback win on Thursday. They sit 6.0 games up in the division heading into action tonight.
After falling behind 3-0 after the third inning and 4-0 by the middle of the sixth, the Phillies looked dead in the water. But that all changed with a Brandon Marsh three-run home run in the bottom of the inning. The blast to left center reignited the crowd and the Phillies, it seemed. That was followed by a go-ahead, two-run bomb off Nick Castellanos' bat in the seventh.
Phillies starter Cristopher Sánchez went 5 2/3 and struck out eight but allowed the four runs on seven hits. After the Phillies got back in the game, the bullpen was lights out. Orion Kerkering, Matt Strahm and Jeff Hoffman combined to dominate the Braves over 3 1/3 perfect innings with five strikeouts to preserve the 5-4 win.

- Reynaldo López (7-4) will start for the Braves. The 30-year-old right-hander has a 2.02 ERA and 1.18 WHIP in 21 starts. He dominated the Phillies when he faced them last week, striking out 10 over five innings while allowing one run on five hits.
