The Major League Baseball season is upon us. Soon, Philadelphia Phillies regular season action will be playing on TVs around the Philadelphia area and to fans across the nation. Last year's October plunge has come and gone, while 2025 poses a better hope for the Phillies.
Maybe not all Phillies fans will watch all 162 games throughout the year, including any expected MLB playoff matchups, but the diehards try their best. Streaming has altered the way current fans watch the game, but the lack of a universal streaming service has made it difficult for Phillies fans, especially out of state. It was announced Wednesday that changes have been made to viewing games in 2025. Phillies games will now be a little easier to catch with MLB.TV striking a new partnership with NBC Sports Philadelphia, per MLB.com.
Phillies fans are going to love this long-awaited MLB-NBC Sports TV partnership
It was announced that MLB.TV and NBC Sports Philadelphia will team up to allow fans in the Philadelphia region to stream Phillies games through the league's streaming service. The new Phillies.TV package will cost $24.99 monthly and can be bundled with MLB.TV for $44.99 monthly.

The bundle has been a long time coming, with the out-of-market exclusivity that MLB.TV normally offers and also in light of the blackout issues that continue to plague fans' access to games. Fans can now avoid having to sign up with outside TV providers just to watch their favorite team play throughout the summer. Unfortunately, this new offering doesn't cover the Phillies' nationally televised games on FOX, ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball and Apple TV+'s Friday Night Baseball.
The Phillies are coming off a division crown in 2024, topping out at 95 wins during the regular season, their most since 2011. The Phillies have continued to put winning seasons together and still maintain sizable World Series hopes. Fans want to see the team play more than ever and now Phillies.TV will cover access to pre- and post-game coverage while watching the Phillies push toward another postseason run.
On top of other recent MLB media changes, the league is doing its best to lean into subscription-based offers that were previously exclusive to major cable providers. Hulu + Live TV started allowing MLB Network back on their channel listing in 2024, per MLB.com's Brian Murphy, as well as additional packages that have since been offered as subscription-based services.
