It has been known for quite some time that Philadelphia Phillies superstar Bryce Harper has developed a huge friendship bond with Phillies’ mascot, the Phillie Phanatic, over the years. Because of that, Harper often showcases his brotherly love for the franchise icon by wearing various Phanatic-based gear.
Well, now with the new season upon us in 2025, Harper has gracefully added to his Phanatic collection some more extravagant wearables. This time around, Harper has unveiled some awesomely epic new cleats, with photos courtesy of Todd Zolecki of MLB.com.

Bryce Harper’s newest Phillie Phanatic cleats are absolutely epic
On top of the totally expected Phanatic green color, the cleats feature Philly- and Phantic-themed tags on the laces plus the iconic images of the beloved Phillies superstar and his buddy imprinted on the insoles.
Just for good measure, adding some matching gear to wear on his body, we also have Harper showing off his new compression sleeve, feature Harper and the Phanatic, courtesy of MLB.com.

Harper has been wearing Phanatic-inspired gear since his first day on the job, when he caused a stir at Citizens Bank Park in his Phillies home debut in 2019 by debuting his first pair of Phanatic cleats.
"Thought it'd be cool. Why not? Just bring some fun to the game," Harper said about wearing the Phanatic-themed cleats on Opening Day 2019, per Stephen Pianovich
of CBS Sports. "The Phanatic is always happy and smiling."

Since then, Harper has introduced all kinds of "green" items, including the popular Phillie Phanatic headband, that you can see being worn by kids and adults alike at Phillies games. He also sports a fun Phanatic sliding mitt and shin guard on a regular basis, not to mention the Phillie Phanatic bat he debuted during spring training photo day last year.
At this rate, we should be able to witness one day Harper being immersed in Phanatic gear from head to toe. It’s just too bad that he probably won’t be allowed to officially wear everything during real-game situations.
But aside from the various commemorative equipment and wearables, the relationship between the duo goes way beyond that, as Harper always makes the Phanatic’s day memorable on his birthday. For instance, just last year, the star first baseman personally hand-delivered a limited-edition glove to his buddy for his big day.
No one knows what the future may hold for the two comrades. But one thing is for sure, their friendship and care for each other should definitely last until the end of time. Harper cemented his love of the Phanatic this past offseason when he got inked, with a tattoo of the Phanatic riding his iconic ATV.
