The Philadelphia Phillies (13-10) and New York Mets (16-7) resume their series at Citi Field on Tuesday night. Monday's 5-4 loss in the series opener was a return to the house of horrors for the Phillies, who were eliminated in the NLDS here last fall.

Phillies starter Aaron Nola remains winless, now 0-5 with a 6.43 ERA, after not receiving any run support again. He allowed two runs on two solo homers over the first six innings, while the Phillies mustered zero runs with 11 strikeouts over that time. He left with two runners on base and one out in the seventh inning, before José Ruiz gave up a monster three-run home run to Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor.

The Phillies rallied in the ninth, scoring four runs, including new leadoff hitter Bryson Stott's three-run home run. However, strikeouts by Trea Turner and Bryce Harper against Mets closer Edwin Díaz ended any hopes of a miracle comeback.

Now, trailing the Mets by three games in the NL East heading into Tuesday's tilt, the Phillies need to get back on track and will send Cristopher Sánchez to the hill.
