The Philadelphia Phillies (10-7) will look to keep the good vibes rolling against the San Francisco Giants (12-5) on Wednesday. After dropping the series opener on Monday, the Phillies bounced back with a much-needed 6-4 win on Tuesday, with contributions from key players.

The struggling Brandon Marsh was back in center field after a one-day hiatus to clear his head. He went 0-for-3 but contributed a sacrifice fly, which Phillies fans appreciated. Third baseman Alec Bohm, who's also fighting to get out of a slump, had a go-ahead RBI single in the sixth inning, after hearing some boos, per MLB.com's Todd Zolecki.

Catcher J.T. Realmuto hit his first home run of the season in the second, and first baseman Bryce Harper hit a towering two-run home run in the seventh, his third of the year. The Phillies' six runs marked the first time in their last seven games that they had scored more than four.

With left-hander Robbie Ray on the mound for the Giants tonight, Phillies manager Rob Thomson is rolling out a slightly different look. Kyle Schwarber gets the start in left field, with Johan Rojas in center, and Edmundo Sosa starting at second base.

Phillies vs. Giants probable pitchers, April 16

  • Aaron Nola (0-3, 5.51 ERA) will start for the Phillies. He took a tough loss against the St. Louis Cardinals on the weekend, giving up two runs on five hits and four walks with five strikeouts over five innings. His teammates didn't offer any support, however, getting shutout in the 2-0 loss. Nola only went four innings in his lone start against the Giants last year, surrendering two runs over four innings in a no decision.
  • Robbie Ray (3-0, 2.93 ERA) will take the ball for the Giants. The 33-year-old left-hander had his shortest outing of the season last time out. He went four innings against the New York Yankees, allowing one run on two hits, striking out seven along the way. Ray didn't make a start against the Phillies last season after coming back from Tommy John surgery and then missing time with a hamstring strain.
