The Philadelphia Phillies (14-13) climbed back above the .500 mark with a big win on Saturday and will now look to grab the series win against the Chicago Cubs (17-11) on Sunday Night Baseball at Wrigley Field.

The Phillies' bats exploded for 10 runs on 12 hits in the 10-4 win. They scored six in the fourth inning, knocking Cubs starter Ben Brown out of the game after he had cruised through the first three frames. Eight of the Phillies' nine starters collected at least one hit (Rojas went 0-for-2 but had a walk and a sacrifice fly), led by Max Kepler's 3-for-5 days with a pair of RBIs and a solo home run.

Starter Jesús Luzardo dominated over six innings, giving up two unearned runs after a Trea Turner error. The lefty improved his record to 3-0 and lowered his ERA to 1.73.

If the Phillies can earn a series victory, it will go a long way to pushing the memories from a forgettable week of losing out of fans' heads as the team heads home to open a series with the Washington Nationals on Tuesday.

Phillies vs. Cubs probable pitchers, April 27

  • Aaron Nola (0-5, 6.43 ERA) will close out the series for the Phillies. While the veteran has struggled in the early season, he hasn't had much in the way of run support, so will be seeking some more help from his offense today. Nola tossed a quality start in his lone outing against the Cubs last season, going seven innings while giving up just two runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts.
  • Jameson Taillon (1-1, 4.73 ERA) will counter for the Cubs. The 33-year-old right-hander has a 1.20 WHIP and 24 strikeouts in 26 2/3 innings through five starts this season. He's coming off a five-inning no-decision against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He gave up just one run on three hits with six strikeouts in that one. Taillon also had a quality start in his only game against the Phillies last year, allowing just two runs over seven innings while striking out seven in a Cubs win.
