Citi Field weather for Phillies-Mets series, May 27-29
Weather forecast for Phillies vs. Mets at Citi Field
After salvaging a series split against the Atlanta Braves, the Philadelphia Phillies are headed to the Big Apple for yet another series against a talented division rival, the New York Mets.
The Mets were also big spenders this offseason, signing Max Scherzer and Starling Marte, among others. Unlike the Phillies, it’s paid off for them, as they’re currently 29-17, with a commanding 7 1/2 game lead over the tied-for-second Phillies and Braves.
If you’re making the two-hour drive (factor in Memorial Day Weekend traffic and it’s probably longer) to Citi Field for this series, be prepared with the weekend weather on Seaver Way:
New York forecast for May 27
The 7:10 first pitch could be delayed, as there’s a serious chance of thunderstorms between 6-8 PM. It should be smooth sailing after that, with cloudy skies and temps in the high 60s, but there’s a chance those storms roll back in around 11 PM.

Saturday evening is shaping up to be a beautiful night to head to the ballpark. At the 7:15 PM first pitch, skies will be mostly clear and the temperature will be a balmy 72 degrees into the late hours of the night.
New York forecast for May 29
The Phillies wrap up the series in New York at 7:08 PM on Sunday night with more great weather. Mostly sunny skies and low-70s temps await at Citi Field.
