3. The bullpen is… lights out?

Almost one month into the season, the Phillies bullpen has exactly one blown save to its name.

This stands in stark, very welcome contrast to their collective failure in 2021 when they blew 34 saves to tie the all-time record set by none other than the Colorado Rockies in 2004.

Corey Knebel has a 1.13 ERA over eight appearances (all games finished) and has earned three saves. He’s faced 30 batters and only allowed one earned run.

Seranthony Dominguez finally looks healthy after two years of injuries and rehabbing. He has a 3.52 ERA over eight appearances.

Most impressive of the bullpen, Brad Hand has made seven appearances and has yet to allow a run. He’s finished two games, earned a save, and has only given up one hit to 16 batters faced.
