Nick Castellanos’ brother uses famous meme about him to joke about Will Smith/Chris Rock drama at the Oscars

Unless you’ve been living under a rock this week, you’ve seen a video or photo of Will Smith hitting Chris Rock at the Academy Awards. The incident has already become known as The Slap, and the incident has spawned everything from serious conversations to absurd memes. Classic internet.

Unsurprisingly, the ‘Drive Into Deep Left’ copypasta popped up at the intersection of Baseball Twitter and Entertainment Twitter. It’s the second time this week, as Castellanos’ first hit in a Phillies uniform occurred while a Blue Jays coach was apologizing on air for his recent DUI arrest.

Among those making the joke? His own brother, Ryan.

Epic.

One wonders how Nick’s wife feels about him making the joke, as she’s made her dislike of the meme clear over the last two years.

The newest Phillies slugger’s brother also joked about the Tyreek Hill trade overshadowing his brother’s introduction:

And, the former Detroit Tigers minor leaguer mocked Comerica Park in another tweet when Nick hit his first Phillies home run earlier this week:

After drafting Nick in the first round of the 2010 MLB draft, the Tigers drafted Ryan, a pitcher three years his junior, in the 25th round of the 2015 draft. The younger Castellanos spent three years in the Tigers organization and another in the independent Frontier League before retiring.

The Castellanos family is wildly entertaining on Twitter, a welcome change for Phillies fans, who love to interact with baseball figures on social media. When Nick quietly announced his own signing via Instagram, his brother gave little news blasts in tweet form too:
